Über

Portland-area credit union has an immediate opening for a full-time Commercial Loan Processor to join our lending team. This position supports commercial loan transactions by working directly with members in person, over the phone, and through electronic channels to ensure an efficient, accurate, and positive lending experience.

This is a fast-paced, detail-driven role that requires strong communication skills, excellent organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exemplary service to members throughout the commercial loan process.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with members in person, by phone, and through electronic channels to gather information, provide updates, and answer questions.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain documentation related to commercial loan originations.
  • Assist commercial loan officers with gathering required information and documentation from members.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Ensure loan files are complete, accurate, and compliant with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of credit union products and services to support cross-selling efforts that benefit members and align with organizational goals.
  • Evaluate routine issues and solve problems with minimal supervision.
  • Participate in the annual regulatory review process (occasional Saturday participation required).
  • Represent the credit union at trade shows or community events as needed.

Qualifications

  • Prior office experience with a working knowledge of standard office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook) and equipment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Financial institution lending or customer service experience preferred, but not required.

Schedule

  • Full-time, Monday through Friday.
  • Open availability during business hours required.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual salary range: $41,221 - $64,663 depending on experience.
