Duties

• Prepare and assemble menu items according to established recipes, presentation standards, and quality specifications
• Execute food preparation tasks efficiently, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and cooking ingredients using various techniques
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
• Assist in menu planning by suggesting seasonal or innovative dish ideas that align with culinary standards
• Support the kitchen team during busy service hours to ensure timely delivery of orders
• Handle food safely by following proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
• Participate in catering events by preparing large quantities of dishes while maintaining consistency and quality

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar culinary role within a restaurant or food service environment
• Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques
• Experience working in fine dining establishments or catering services is highly desirable
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting
• Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus but not required
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers
