Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Team Powered- Team Collaboration: Assist in loading/unloading cargo when needed and always work with your team to ensure safe and secure delivery of goods.
- Team Communication: Keep track of layover/detention times on the NRM and Driver Trip Sheets, making sure every detail is covered as a team to ensure a smooth operation.
- Customer Service: Represent Hardinger Trucking with pride and professionalism, always working with the team to maintain a positive brand image and meet client expectations.
- Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct detailed PRE-Trip, INTER-Trip, and POST-Trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition, making your job easier and the journey safer.
- Streamlined Processes: Complete necessary paperwork such as the bill of lading, non-revenue manifest, shipping release, and shuttle release, ensuring all steps are taken to keep the process running smoothly.
- Client Communication: Foster strong relationships with clients by responding quickly and courteously to any inquiries or issues regarding shipments, making sure they always feel heard and supported.
- Load Security: Secure cargo using tarps, chains, and straps, ensuring everything is fastened tightly and transported safely. Your responsibility to the load is handled with care and attention to detail.
- Regulatory Compliance: Weigh the vehicle at designated stations before and after loading to ensure compliance with state regulations, so you know everything is in check and handled according to the law.
- Accurate Documentation: Verify trip information and complete trip sheets with all the required details, ensuring nothing is left to chance. Everything is taken care of and in place to guarantee smooth operation.
- Maintain Safety & Compliance: Adhere to OSHA and MSDS standards to ensure a safe and healthy working environment. Participate in Driver Safety Workshops and monthly safety videos, staying up to date with the latest safety best practices.
- Constant Improvement: Maintain a clean safety record with no major DOT accidents or serious traffic violations in the past 3 years, ensuring we stay ahead of regulations and continually improve safety measures.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Must have Class A - CDL license
- Must have 30,000 or more CDL Class A driving experience
- Two or more years of directly related experience (preferred)
- Ability to pass required background checks
- No DUI/DWI in the past 7 years
