Responsibilities:
Service and clean assigned areas to ensure environmental service standards are met
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Change linens and clean units including patient rooms, group rooms, offices and common areas
- Cleaning and extracting all floor surfaces utilizing floor care equipment, maintaining floor care equipment
- Washing interior and exterior windows
- Trash removal and stock supplies
- Maintain safety throughout facility by complying with Joint Commission standards, Infection Control Protocols and other PrairieCare policies
- After training, staff should be able to manage disruptive or explosive patients, with the emphasis on personal safety/protection
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Thorough knowledge of Environmental Services procedures, generally gained through prior Environmental Service experience
- Knowledge of Joint Commission standards and CDC safety guidelines as they pertain to maintaining a clean and safe work environment preferred
- Knowledge of various industrial cleaning machines preferred
- Ability to multitask and use supplies in a safe and cost effective manner
- Willing and able to learn carpet/floor care machines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products preferred
Compensation for this role ranges from $16-$21 per hour depending on education and experience.
