Barista/Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our café team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting environment, and ensuring customer satisfaction through friendly interactions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Handle cash transactions efficiently and accurately using the Aloha POS system.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, seating, and food preparation areas.
• Assist in food preparation as needed, ensuring adherence to food handling safety standards.
• Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, supplies, and food items; assist with restocking as necessary.
• Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere while promoting café offerings.
• Follow all health and safety regulations related to food service and handling.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a café or food service environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing.
• Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is a plus; willingness to learn is essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Must possess valid food handling certification or be willing to obtain it upon hiring.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
