Responsibilities
- Lead project planning, execution, risk management, and closing of commercial construction projects, ensuring adherence to critical timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to facilitate smooth project workflows.
- Develop detailed project schedules using Procore construction management software to track progress and identify potential delays early.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and contracts to ensure accurate interpretation and compliance with design specifications.
- Manage procurement processes including construction estimating, bid analysis, and contract negotiations to optimize project costs.
- Oversee construction site activities, ensuring safety protocols are followed and work is performed according to industry standards.
- Monitor project progress through regular site visits, progress reports, and coordination meetings; adjust plans as necessary to meet project milestones.
- Utilize tools like ProCore and Bluebeam for document control, RFIs (Request for Information), submittals, change orders, and communication with stakeholders.
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with contractual obligations.
- Foster effective project management practices by managing time efficiently and prioritizing tasks to meet aggressive deadlines.
Skills
- Extensive experience with construction management from project handoff to completion.
- Experience using construction software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera, Teams, and various data equipment (desk and laptop computers, ipads, phones, copiers, printers, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques and contract administration processes.
- Proven ability in project scheduling and coordination across multiple teams on complex projects.
- Deep understanding of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction site safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Skilled in contract negotiation and managing contractual obligations with a focus on risk mitigation.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in fast-paced environments.
- Hands-on construction site experience demonstrating a thorough understanding of field operations.
- Familiarity with commercial and civil projects including site development.
- Must be drug free and pass random drug testing and background check.
- Must be a citizen and legally authorized to work in the USA.
- Must have clean driving record, transportation, and good standing drivers license.
- Must be able to visit project sites daily, weekly as needed.
