What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Provide quality service by responding to telephonic, written, and electronic inquiries from employees, members, providers, and clients in a high-volume call center
- Navigate multiple system applications and tools to accurately address inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, and claim statuses
- Document all inquiries and actions taken using applicable software applications in accordance with employer guidelines
- Resolve customer issues efficiently while adapting to various system platforms and maintaining a structured service-oriented approach
- Maintain a private and dedicated workspace with reliable high-speed internet for effective remote work
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of previous customer service experience
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong reasoning and analytical skills to resolve customer inquiries accurately and promptly
- Ability to learn new/proprietary systems and effectively use MS Excel and Word
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Prior experience in a fast-paced call center environment
- Knowledge of medical procedure and diagnosis coding
- Familiarity with Summary Plan Documents (SPDs) and other benefit descriptive tools
- Experience working in a performance-measured environment with quality metrics
