Job Summary:
We are hiring a skilled Warehouse Technician in Boston, Massachusetts, to maintain the optimal performance of our warehouse facilities and equipment. This hands-on role is critical for ensuring the safety, efficiency, and reliability of our logistics operations. You will be responsible for conducting routine maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring all equipment and systems are in top working order. A strong mechanical aptitude and a proactive approach to maintenance are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyor systems, and machinery.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies, placing orders as needed.
  • Ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently, adhering to manufacturer specifications.
  • Implement and uphold all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of the warehouse facility and equipment.
  • Document all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to minimize downtime and ensure workflow continuity.
  • Keep the warehouse facility clean, organized, and hazard-free.
  • This role involves physical work, including lifting up to 40 lbs, and requires the use of tools and equipment.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with warehouse equipment and maintenance procedures.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and the critical importance of PPE.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Good organizational and record-keeping abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
