Our state-of-the-art distribution center in Sacramento, California is seeking experienced operators to join our growing logistics team. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse, operating various types of forklifts. This role requires precision, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to workplace safety. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the flow of goods, ensuring timely loading and unloading of trucks, and supporting overall warehouse productivity. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric pallet jacks) safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers with incoming and outgoing freight.
- Perform pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any defects or issues.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Ensure proper lifting techniques are used when handling materials not moved by forklift.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with warehouse associates and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Demonstrated ability to operate various types of forklifts.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to following all safety regulations and wearing required PPE.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
