Join our dedicated logistics team as a Receiving Clerk in St. Louis, Missouri. This position is integral to our warehouse operations, responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and processing all incoming shipments. You will be the first line of defense in ensuring inventory accuracy and quality, verifying deliveries against purchase orders and meticulously documenting any discrepancies or damages. A keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills are essential. This role requires individuals who are reliable, diligent, and committed to maintaining a safe working environment. All employees are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to stringent safety guidelines. You will work closely with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of goods into our facility. This is an excellent opportunity to be a key player in our supply chain. Key responsibilities include:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Accurately verify contents of shipments against purchase orders and invoices.
- Inspect goods for damage, defects, or shortages, and document all findings.
- Enter receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS) promptly and accurately.
- Tag and label incoming inventory with appropriate identifiers.
- Stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, carriers, and internal staff regarding receiving issues.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- The role may involve moderate lifting and the use of pallet jacks.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and integrity of our logistics and inventory management.
