Seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Phoenix, Arizona. This role is essential for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company and carrier standards. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring that packages are correctly labeled and dispatched. If you have a knack for organization and thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Your duties will include verifying order details, selecting the appropriate shipping methods, and tracking shipments. Safety is paramount in our warehouse, and all employees are required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow strict safety guidelines. The ideal candidate will have experience with shipping software and a strong understanding of logistics principles. Key responsibilities include:
- Process all outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, and other necessary documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS, LTL) for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Verify order information and ensure the correct products are being shipped.
- Inspect outgoing packages for proper sealing and labeling.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and track shipment status.
- Communicate with internal departments and external partners regarding shipping inquiries.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations.
- Ability to assist with light lifting and moving of packages is expected.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and reliability of our logistics operations.
