Join our thriving distribution center in Nashville, Tennessee, as a Shipping & Receiving Associate. In this vital role, you will be at the forefront of our product flow, managing the inbound and outbound movement of goods. Your responsibilities will include receiving incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, and accurately documenting all received items. You will also be responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, ensuring correct products are picked, packed, and loaded for transport. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency within our Logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately document all received inventory into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and staging orders.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all Safety guidelines.
- Wear appropriate PPE , such as safety vests and gloves, as required.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Lifting items up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or a warehouse environment preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that involve frequent Lifting , standing, and walking.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and proper use of PPE .
- Understanding of Logistics principles is a plus.
