We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our Sacramento, California team. This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing warehouse equipment, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our facility and supporting our critical logistics functions. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and conduct inspections to prevent downtime. A strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems is essential. We prioritize a safe working environment, and adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE , is paramount. This role may involve some physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of parts and equipment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, possess strong problem-solving skills, and have a commitment to maintaining high operational standards. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse machinery, including conveyors, forklifts, and automated systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential problems and ensure operational safety .
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company safety policies and the use of appropriate PPE .
- Assist with the installation of new equipment and upgrades.
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and perform emergency repairs.
- Manage spare parts inventory and order necessary components.
- Occasional physical tasks may involve moderate Lifting of components.
- Ensure the reliability of equipment that supports our complex logistics network.
- High school diploma or GED; technical certification or vocational training preferred.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician or in a similar maintenance role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and maintenance equipment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and familiarity with required PPE .
- Experience with material handling equipment maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to perform light to moderate Lifting as required.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics processes is a plus.
