Job Summary:
We are hiring an Inventory Control Specialist in Atlanta, Georgia, to manage and maintain the accuracy of our warehouse inventory. This critical role ensures that our stock levels are precise, which is vital for the smooth operation of our logistics department. The ideal candidate will have a sharp eye for detail, be highly organized, and possess a strong understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse procedures. You will be responsible for tracking stock, conducting audits, and implementing measures to prevent discrepancies. A commitment to safety and the correct use of PPE is paramount.
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across all warehouse locations.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and effectively.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming inventory, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders.
  • Manage stock rotation (e.g., First-In, First-Out) to minimize obsolescence.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move inventory, adhering to all safety regulations.
  • Maintain organized and clean storage areas, ensuring proper placement of all items.
  • Report on inventory levels, variances, and potential issues to management.
  • Ensure all personnel involved in inventory handling are trained on and using appropriate PPE .

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics , and inventory best practices.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and the mandatory use of PPE .
