Position

The Building Maintenance Attendant is responsible for performing general building maintenance and upkeep .

Responsibilities

• Know and comply at all times with applicable quality and food safety standards , occupational health and safety regulations , and company policies ;
• Perform maintenance and painting work , including repair and maintenance of frameworks, wall finishes, ceilings, floors, and other structures using wood, metal, or other materials as required;
• Assist external tradespeople when necessary;
• Replace and adjust doors, windows, and hardware , both interior and exterior;
• Maintain and repair fixed and movable furniture (boxes, cabinets, lockers, shelves, etc.);
• Apply joint compound and prepare surfaces for painting ;
• Remove industrial waste, grime, large debris, and other refuse ;
• Perform minor repairs and adjustments to plumbing systems, electrical systems, and equipment ;
• Be available to work one weekend out of three .
