Design Co-ordinator Location: Near Solihull, Midlands Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 On behalf of our client, a family-owned construction company based near Solihull, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Design Co-ordinator to join their growing team. The business delivers a diverse range of high-quality projects, including bespoke modular extensions for a variety of uses, large-scale construction projects across civils and M&E, refurbishments, and unique, one-off multi-million-pound new build residential schemes. This is an exciting opportunity to work across technically interesting and varied projects within a well-established and collaborative environment. The Design Co-ordinator will play a key role in managing and coordinating design information, acting as the central point of contact between contractors, architects, and consultants throughout both pre-construction and delivery stages. Key Responsibilities
Coordinate design information between contractors, architects, and consultants Manage, review, and issue drawings, ensuring accuracy and consistency across project teams Liaise directly with external consultants to progress design development and resolve queries Support the construction team by ensuring timely flow of up-to-date design information Track design changes and assist in resolving technical and coordination issues Contribute to both tender-stage and live project design coordination
About You
Experience in a Design Co-ordinator or similar role is advantageous A build or construction background is preferred but not essential Strong understanding of drawings and design documentation Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with multiple stakeholders Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple workstreams
