Hotel Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical wiring, and building infrastructure to ensure optimal operation.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and electrical components using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment.
• Conduct residential painting, carpentry and other repair tasks to uphold the hotel's aesthetic standards.
• "Handyman" skills and understanding the value of "Preventative Maintenance" is absolutely essential to your success in this position.
• Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, including supervising team members or contractors when necessary.
• Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately and implement effective solutions.
• Respond promptly to guest or staff maintenance requests with professionalism and excellent customer service skills to resolve issues efficiently.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or hotel maintenance roles with a strong background in mechanical knowledge and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
• Skilled in residential painting, carpentry, and general repairs within a hospitality environment; Handyman skills set.
• Strong electrical experience with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues safely.
• Supervising experience or leadership skills that demonstrate the ability to oversee maintenance projects or teams effectively.
• Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and coordination with team members.

Pay: $ $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
