About The Role
The Manager Human Resources at Family Church is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources functions within the organization. Serving as a strategic partner to the leadership team, the HR Manager ensures the effective management of talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, and organizational development. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in HR administration, capable of fostering a positive work environment aligned with the church's values and mission. The HR Manager will lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, streamline HR processes, and ensure regulatory compliance, all while supporting the spiritual and professional growth of staff members. The position reports directly to the Director of Human Resources and plays a crucial role in maintaining a high standard of excellence across all HR activities.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess a minimum of ten years of experience in human resources administration or a related field, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of HR functions such as employee data management, compliance, benefits administration, payroll, performance management, recruitment, onboarding, and learning management systems. A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required; a master's degree is preferred. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in project management, process improvement, change management, and vendor management, including system evaluations and contract negotiations. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, along with the ability to achieve strategic goals and objectives. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, is necessary. Candidates must affirm the organizational beliefs outlined in the Baptist Faith and Message of 2000, maintain a close walk with Jesus Christ, and uphold high standards of moral character and excellence.

The HR Manager is responsible for maintaining up-to-date job descriptions, supporting employee development, and recommending policy updates to the employee handbook. The role also includes stewardship of church resources, attendance at staff meetings, and participation in planning sessions and retreats as needed.
