About the Opportunity:

A leading manufacturer of electrical products is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Territory Salesman to develop and maintain relationships with distributors and contractors, promote products, and drive sales growth within an assigned territory.

Responsibilities:


• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers within the designated territory


• Achieve sales, profit, and growth goals for all products in the assigned territory


• Maintain desirable product mix and margins at distribution in the assigned territory


• Ensure sales are profitable and meet or exceed management expectations


• Identify new sales opportunities and generate leads through cold calling, networking, and referrals


• Identify, evaluate, and select distributor partners within the assigned territory


• Develop direct relationships with electrical distributors, contractors, MRO, and other product users


• Gain comprehensive product knowledge to effectively communicate benefits to customers


• Provide product training for distributors and contractors


• Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase labor-saving products and the product line


• Recommend appropriate solutions to contractors, end-users, and specifiers


• Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities


• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, weekly itineraries, and call reports


• Submit expense reports in a timely manner


• Follow up and comply with all management requests promptly


• Collaborate with sales team, inside sales, and other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and timely order fulfillment

Requirements:


• Experience building and maintaining distributor and contractor relationships


• Proven ability to meet sales, profit, and growth goals


• Skills in lead generation through cold calling, networking, and referrals


• Ability to evaluate and select distributor partners


• Strong product knowledge and training capabilities


• Competence in conducting product demonstrations and presentations


• Analytical skills to assess market trends and competitor activities


• Strong reporting and administrative skills


• Effective collaboration and communication abilities
