Part-Time Electrical Maintenance Training Instructor

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Part-Time Instructor to deliver comprehensive training programs focused on industrial electrical systems maintenance. This role involves developing curriculum, instructing adult learners, and ensuring safety compliance across various technical disciplines. The ideal candidate will possess strong industrial electrical maintenance and may have recently retired from industry. This position offers an opportunity to share expertise while supporting workforce development in a dynamic environment.

Duties

• Develop and update engaging curriculum focused on electrical maintenance, industrial electricity, motors and controls, instrumentation, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical schematic reading, and electrical test equipment.
• Deliver classroom instruction to adult learners using various teaching methods, including hands-on demonstrations and theoretical lessons.
• Assess student progress through evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
• Incorporate industry best practices in maintenance for manufacturing electrical systems into training content.
• Collaborate with industry partners to ensure curriculum relevance and alignment with current technological advancements.
• Maintain a safe classroom environment by enforcing safety protocols and fostering a culture of safety awareness among trainees.

Experience

• Proven experience in electrical maintenance.
• Prior teaching or training experience with adult learners is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical systems, motors and controls, and instrumentation.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences. Pay: $ $35.00 per hour
