Position Overview:
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing a defined geographic and customer territory as an independent business unit, with a focus on sales growth, customer relationship management, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning. This role is pivotal in driving revenue and market presence for IOT products within the assigned region.
Territory Coverage:
The Regional Sales Manager will oversee the following states: Washington (WA), Oregon (OR), California (CA), Idaho (ID), Nevada (NV), Arizona (AZ), New Mexico (NM), Utah (UT), Colorado (CO), Montana (MT),
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow sales with mid-size customers (annual sales between $50,000 and $1,000,000) within the assigned territory.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships with both existing and new accounts.
- Drive IOT business growth by identifying, pursuing, and securing new customers.
- Serve as the main point of contact for defined customers, ensuring clear and consistent communication regarding IOT products, programs, and promotions.
- Collaborate closely with technical and marketing teams to execute customer initiatives, programs, and strategies.
- Lead customer education efforts, deliver presentations, and create and drive promotional activities.
- Collect and communicate customer and industry insights to inform business strategy and product development.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and business plans for the territory.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience with wholesale laboratory customers.
- Demonstrated success in selling lenses is required.
- Strong understanding of digital design and manufacturing processes.
- Proven ability to prospect for and secure new business opportunities.
- Experience implementing pull-through marketing programs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including experience with large group public speaking.
- ABO-accredited technical speaker or ability to obtain accreditation within 3 months of hire.
- Must reside within one hour of a major metropolitan airport within the defined territory.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% of the time, including occasional weekends.
- Ability to work from home in a dedicated office space.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
- Experience with CRM tools, preferably Salesforce.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
