Industrial Painter

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying protective and decorative coatings to various industrial components and structures, ensuring quality finishes that meet safety and durability standards. This role requires a strong understanding of painting techniques, materials handling, and related fabrication processes within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Duties

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed
• Apply coatings using airless paint spraying, brushes, rollers, or other hand tools
• Operate power tools, hand tools, and specialized equipment such as cranes and forklifts for materials handling and positioning of large components
• Perform auto body repair and auto painting tasks when necessary
• Use precision measuring instruments and basic math skills to ensure accurate application and adherence to specifications
• Conduct inspections of finished work to verify quality standards are met
• Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing materials and disposing of waste according to safety protocols
• Assist with fabrication, assembly, or machining tasks as required within the production process
• Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste

Requirements

• Proven experience in industrial or construction painting, including airless paint spraying and auto body repair preferred
• Mechanical knowledge with experience operating forklifts, cranes, and other heavy equipment
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, welding, and assembly
• Ability to handle materials safely using proper handling techniques in a warehouse or manufacturing setting
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices is a plus
• Strong understanding of safety procedures related to industrial painting and materials handling
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary for quality work standards
• Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not mandatory
