At Northfield Park Racino, the Strategic Sourcing Partner develops and executes sourcing strategies that deliver value, cost savings, and operational efficiency across the casino and hospitality enterprise. This role supports procurement functions related to goods, services, and capital projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives, budget goals, and compliance with gaming regulations and internal controls. The position collaborates with Finance, IT, Operations, Legal, and Compliance to identify sourcing opportunities, negotiate supplier contracts, and build vendor partnerships that uphold corporate standards and support long-term business success.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives for assigned categories including technology, hospitality services, food & beverage, and capital projects.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to identify procurement needs, evaluate supplier performance, and align sourcing strategies with operational goals.
  • Lead supplier negotiations, contract reviews, and pricing agreements to achieve cost savings and maximize value for the organization.
  • Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and cost structures to inform sourcing decisions and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Support RFP and RFQ processes, ensuring transparency, fairness, and compliance with company policies and gaming regulations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure service quality, performance, and contract compliance.
  • Work with Finance and Accounting to forecast spend, manage budgets, and track savings performance against annual goals.
  • Monitor supplier performance metrics, resolve disputes, and implement corrective actions where needed.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to ensure contracts meet all regulatory and policy standards.
  • Support system-driven procurement initiatives and contribute to process automation and digital sourcing tools.
  • Prepare sourcing reports, dashboards, and presentations for executive review.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education, experience, skills required, equipment used.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Three or more years of applicable experience, Associates or above degree preferred, or combination of experience and education.
  • Strong understanding of procurement best practices, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
  • Familiarity with gaming industry regulations, hospitality operations, and capital project procurement.
  • Knowledge of financial analysis, cost modeling, and total cost of ownership (TCO) methodology.
  • Experience with ERP or procurement systems such as Workday, Oracle, or Coupa.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to cost control and process optimization.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced, multi-property environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel modeling, and procurement reporting tools.
  • Must maintain a valid state gaming license as required by jurisdiction.
  • Must be able to manage multiple sourcing initiatives simultaneously and meet critical deadlines.
