We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Computer Repair Technician to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of computer hardware and software systems, including mobile devices and operating systems. Duties
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues across multiple platforms including Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS.
- Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools.
- Perform software troubleshooting to resolve operating system errors, application conflicts, or malware infections.
- Conduct repairs on mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets, ensuring optimal performance.
- Provide technical support to clients both in-store and on-site through field service visits.
- Assist customers with retail sales of computer hardware, accessories, and mobile devices.
- Test repaired equipment thoroughly to ensure functionality before returning it to the customer.
- Maintain detailed documentation of repair processes and parts used for quality control purposes.
Skills
- Proficiency with multiple operating systems including Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and repair techniques.
- Skilled in soldering small electronic components on circuit boards.
- Experience with software troubleshooting, system analysis, and diagnostics tools.
- Familiarity with hand tools used in electronics repair such as screwdrivers, anti-static wrist straps, etc.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for complex electronic devices.
- Excellent analysis skills to identify root causes of hardware or software failures quickly.
- Effective communication skills for providing technical support in retail or field service settings.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments requiring attention to detail. This position is ideal for individuals eager to advance their technical expertise while delivering exceptional customer service in a professional setting.
Pay: $ $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4.0 – 24.0 per week
