Job Description
Cox Automotive is seeking a Software Engineer II to join our agile development team in Atlanta, GA. This role is ideal for an adaptable engineer who enjoys working across the stack, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is eager to learn and grow while contributing to innovative solutions. You'll work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to build and maintain high-quality software products.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy reliable software solutions that meet user story requirements and acceptance criteria.
Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure software quality.
Assist with functional testing for applications, modules, or new features.
Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and production issues under guidance.
Break down stories into technical tasks and provide reasonable estimates.
Build familiarity with the applications, systems, and services you support.
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and collaborate within a cross-functional team.
Document your work clearly and share knowledge with peers.
Support cloud infrastructure monitoring and management within AWS.
Contribute to improving CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
Stay current on tools, technologies, and trends relevant to your technical domain.
Explore opportunities to incorporate AI capabilities into development processes.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 2+ years of experience in software development, OR equivalent experience.
2+ years of experience designing and developing web applications.
2+ years of experience building and deploying applications in a cloud environment (preferably AWS).
Proficiency in one or more of the following: Python, Java, or
Experience using Git or similar version control systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with mobile development using Dart and Flutter.
AWS certifications (Developer or Solutions Architect) are a plus.
Interest in AI technologies and willingness to learn.
Experience contributing to team projects in an Agile environment.
