Job Overview
Light Solo Inc. is a growing food manufacturing company seeking a Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) professional with a strong food safety background to join our team. This position plays a key role in ensuring compliance with GMP and PCQI requirements while supporting daily production, quality, and food safety operations at our chocolate manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) on the production floor
• Perform routine QA/QC inspections during production
• Support PCQI and FSMA Preventive Controls activities, including monitoring, verification, and record review
• Verify sanitation, personnel hygiene, and allergen control programs
• Inspect raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished products
• Complete, review, and maintain quality and food safety documentation and records
• Identify non-conformances and assist with Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
• Assist with customer, third-party, and regulatory audits (including FDA inspections)
• Provide administrative support related to QA/QC, such as filing, data entry, document control, and record organization
• Support continuous improvement of food safety and quality systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Food Engineering, or a related scientific discipline
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a food manufacturing, quality assurance, or quality control role
• PCQI training or certification required
• Working knowledge of GMP and FSMA Preventive Controls
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred
• Strong attention to detail with solid documentation and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing / production environment

Preferred Experience

• Experience in chocolate, confectionery, or bakery manufacturing
• Experience supporting FDA inspections or third-party audits
