What You'll Do Duties

  • Manage daily shipping activities, including order fulfillment, packaging, and dispatching of goods to customers or distribution centers
  • Oversee inventory management to ensure accurate stock levels, proper storage, and effective inventory control using warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms
  • Supervise warehouse staff, including team management, training on safety protocols such as OSHA standards, and performance monitoring to foster a productive work environment
  • Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) for seamless transportation and delivery services
  • Implement process improvements to optimize warehouse distribution workflows, materials handling, and shipping & receiving procedures
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to heavy lifting, forklift operation, and materials handling equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory movements, and warehouse activities for reporting and audit purposes

Requirements

  • Proven experience in warehouse management or as a warehouse supervisor with a strong background in shipping & receiving operations
  • Extensive knowledge of inventory management systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and AS400 platforms
  • Hands-on experience with forklift operation and mechanical knowledge related to materials handling equipment
  • Strong understanding of logistics principles, e-commerce shipping processes, and 3PL coordination
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards in accordance with OSHA guidelines
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory control and process documentation
  • Ability to lift heavy objects safely during materials handling tasks and perform physical duties required by the role
