Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) are needed for maternity leave coverage within a cooperative providing special education services to multiple school districts in Illinois. This contract opportunity supports K-12 settings specializing in services for students with Autism and Intellectual Disabilities in structured learning environments.
Location:
Multiple schools across the Lisle area including Clarendon Hills, Willowbrook, Downers Grove, and Westmont.
Contract Dates:
Approximately January 26, 2026, through June 5, 2026, with some leaves beginning in late January or early February and lasting through the end of the school year.
Schedule & Caseload
- Full-time hours ranging from 35 to 37.5 hours per week
- Caseload includes 3 to 4 self-contained classrooms within the Structured Learning Environment (SLE) program
- Each classroom consists of 6 to 8 students with Autism and Intellectual Disabilities
Qualifications & Experience
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech Endorsement
- Current Illinois Speech License
- Candidates ranging from SLP-Certified Clinical Fellows (CFYs) to fully licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) are encouraged to apply
- Experience working with pediatric special education populations preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver speech-language evaluations and therapy services tailored to students in self-contained special education classrooms
- Collaborate with special education staff to support individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes on all students served
