CMHA is looking to hire a full-time Program Coordinator II for our Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy (MDFT) Program. This position will be located at 233 Main St. New Britain, CT Monday - Friday, 8:30AM-4:30PM.

Compensation Range: The annual salary range for this position starts at $74,000.

Compensation for each position is determined not only by years of relevant experience, education, and skills, but also by maintaining internal pay equity. Position Summary: Serve as the lead member of the Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy (MDFT) treatment team, which will provide treatment for youth/young adults and parents with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders both in home, in office, and community settings. Responsible for day-to-day oversight of all program functions in accordance with CMHA, external regulators and funders policies and procedures. Provides administrative and clinical supervision to staff to ensure that service delivery is of the highest quality, assures fidelity to the MDFT model, and is meeting client needs. Manages allocation of resources/staff within budgetary constraints. Represents and promotes CMHA at various community and professional forums.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Must attend and pass all requirements to become and/or maintain an MDFT certified therapist and supervisor.
  • Direct and supervise professional and administrative activities of the therapists and therapist assistants according to the MDFT model. This includes ten (10) hours of clinical supervision for each MDFT team
  • Collect and maintain client and program information to meet DCF and MDFT reporting and evaluation requirements.
  • Responsible for intake and case assignment and maintaining staff schedules; will provide emergency coverage for the therapists as needed; and do other tasks, as dictated by the MDFT model
  • Trains, supervises and evaluates staff in the utilization and fidelity of the MDFT model. Guides staff in the utilization of best practices to ensure clients achieve optimal results through staff meetings and supervision.
  • Maintains appropriate caseload as determined by agency and funder. Coordinates staff schedules that meet the needs of families, is within budgetary guidelines and limits crisis situations.
  • Provides crisis intervention to family in the home, office or community if need arises. This includes on‐call 24/7 coverage of families on caseload.
  • Ensures timely and accurate data reporting to all relevant parties. Reviews program effectiveness by conducting and documenting audits that measure objectives and develops and monitors plans of corrections when those objectives have not been achieved.
  • Represents and promotes CMHA at community functions and required meetings and communicates potential client/community needs to senior management that will assist in future program development.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with other community agencies and organizations, in order to provide comprehensive and effective treatment services for clients
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in behavioral health (psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, alcohol and drug counseling).
  • Must have State of Connecticut license in related discipline (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, PhD, PsyD).
  • Certified in BMT, First Aid, and CPR.
  • Beginner to intermediate experience with Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook.
  • Successful experience in the provision of direct clinical care of clients with severe/prolonged mental illness and/or substance abuse disorders or equivalent including diagnosing, treatment planning and evidence based practices, preferably a minimum of 1 year.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the delivery of adolescent and family clinical services. Also, experience working with co-occurring disorders
