Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (SPANISH SPEAKING) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise across various specialties, including acute and chronic care, geriatrics, pediatrics, and emergency medicine. This role offers an opportunity to provide comprehensive patient care in diverse settings such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. The Nurse Practitioner will utilize advanced medical knowledge and EMR/EHR systems to deliver high-quality care while adhering to HIPAA regulations and best practices in patient safety. Experience with telehealth, medical documentation, and specialized procedures such as suturing, IV infusion, catheterization, and dermal fillers is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews.
  • Diagnose illnesses and develop individualized treatment plans across multiple specialties such as internal medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, and emergency medicine.
  • Administer medications and injections, perform suturing, IV insertions, catheter care, and other clinical procedures following aseptic techniques.
  • Manage acute pain, infectious diseases, chronic conditions like dementia or Alzheimer's care, and post-acute or sub-acute care needs.
  • Utilize EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks to document patient encounters accurately while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for discharge planning, case management, utilization review, and family education.
  • Provide telehealth consultations utilizing telehealth platforms and ensure effective patient communication and health coaching.
  • Perform diagnostic evaluations using laboratory testing or medical imaging; interpret ICD-9/10 coding for documentation purposes.
  • Engage in specialized procedures such as gastric lavage, spinal taps, cardiac catheterization assistance, or sonography when applicable.
  • Stay current with medical terminology updates and maintain certification requirements including Basic Life Support (BLS) and sterile processing protocols.

Skills

  • Proven experience with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology (including psychopharmacology), and disease management across various specialties such as ICU/Level I Trauma Center experience or neonatal PICU experience preferred.
  • Skilled in performing complex procedures like dermal fillers, Botox treatments (Botulinum toxin), spinal taps, catheterization, tube feeding management, ventilator support, and airway management.
  • Ability to handle diverse patient populations including pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator care), geriatrics (memory/dementia care), hospice & palliative medicine patients.
  • Experience working in hospital settings—Level II trauma centers or teaching hospitals—and outpatient clinics with proficiency in CPT coding and utilization review processes.
  • Excellent communication skills for patient education on health coaching topics such as nutrition or medication adherence; adept at working with people with disabilities or developmental challenges.
  • Familiarity with infection control practices and infection prevention protocols; experience with laboratory specimen collection/processing is a plus.
  • Capable of working independently in fast-paced environments while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Pay: $128, $155,164.78 per year
