  • At least 21 years of age
  • Manager Food Handler Safety Training Card
  • CA Supervisory Sexual Harassment Prevention Training Certification
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50lbs
  • Reading, writing and verbal communication skills required
  • Capable of using telephone, cash register and order tablets, basic cooking appliances, and other food preparation equipment
  • Mobility (standing, stooping, bending, lifting, reaching, etc.) required during the entire shift

Essential Job Functions

  • Regular attendance and compliance with employee handbook and training manuals
  • Interact with employees and other in management in a friendly, enthusiastic and professional manner (i.e., a warm smile and sincere greeting)
  • Coach, direct, supervise, and/or manage other employees/co-workers per Sosogu policies and procedures
  • Cultivate a culture of respect, gratitude, compassion, hard work, and team work within the restaurant
  • Write employee schedules & manage staff within target labor budget relative to sales
  • Practice frugality and exercise best judgement to reduce/keep COGs within budget targets
  • Oversee preparation of guest food and beverage orders with accuracy and efficiency in order to satisfy guests
  • Understand and execute company procedures and adheres to specifications
  • Oversee and be able to perform cleaning, and sanitization practices matching or exceeding company standards
  • Place and pick up cases or bags of food, pots & pans, dishes, prepped food, cases of relevant delivery items, other misc. items on high and low shelves
  • Knowledge of recipes and procedures according to company standards
  • Operate and over see that all restaurant equipment is used in a safe and efficient manner
  • Practice proper food safety and food handling measures at all times
  • Oversee and maintain safe & sanitary prep and work areas
  • Clean and organize restaurant per daily, weekly, and extra cleaning schedules and in accordance with local and state laws
  • Ensure food is labeled, dated, and FIFO rotated in accordance with shelf life and food safety specifications
  • Ensure that daily deliveries in proper storage areas
  • Assist, support, and coach employees with their job functions on occasion

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies (up to 50lbs), and repetitive hand and wrist motion; working with and around hot, cold, and hazardous equipment in a fast paced and congested environment that will occasionally be loud, hot and/or physically demanding.
