Welder Fitter Layout

Job Summary
We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Welders, Fitters, and Layout professionals to join our dynamic fabrication and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately interpreting blueprints, fabricating components, and performing precise welding and fitting tasks on various metal structures. Your expertise will ensure that projects meet strict quality standards, adhere to safety protocols, and are completed efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects across construction sites and manufacturing environments, contributing to the creation of durable, high-quality metal assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and assembly processes.
• Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding techniques with precision to meet project specifications.
• Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure accurate fabrication and fitting of sheet metal and structural components.
• Conduct layout work on materials using blueprints or schematics to mark cut lines or weld points accurately.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols on construction sites or manufacturing floors; operate forklifts and other equipment responsibly when required.

Skills

• Extensive fabrication shop experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures.
• Proficiency in MIG welding, and FCAW welding techniques; familiarity with AISC welding processes.
• Ability to read complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings confidently.
• Mechanical knowledge of rigging over head bridge cranes.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.

Pay: $ $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
