Job Summary: As a warehouse associate you will be responsible for moving, organizing, assembling, and packing materials within a warehouse or distribution center. This job requires physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 

The essential job functions include the following:

• Reading and interpreting assembly instructions for furniture pieces
• Inspecting and quality checking finished products to ensure they meet company standards
• Disassembling and reassembling furniture as necessary for transport or repair
• Verify the accuracy of materials received and shipped
• Count and record inventory as required
• Using hand and power tools to assemble furniture
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse or distribution center
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including wearing protective gear as required
• Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient and effective warehouse operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience working in a warehouse or distribution center preferred 
• Ability to read and interpret written instructions and inventory documents
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and stand for long periods of time
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as needed
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required  

Work conditions:

• Work is performed in a warehouse environment
• May be exposed to dust, noise, and other hazards
• May be required to work in varying temperatures
• May be required to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical demands:

• Lifting and carrying merchandise and boxes of varying weights
• Extended periods of standing and walking
• Bending, stooping, and reaching to access items and tools
• Using fine motor skills for handling small parts and equipment
• Performing repetitive motions such as fastening screws or attaching components
• Needing physical stamina and endurance
