Overview:

Under general supervision, the Electronics Technician, Maintenance I will perform a variety of complex electronics support work applying methods, techniques, and procedures.

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age at time of hire.
• Must have two (2) or more years of electronics maintenance experience.
• Must have a background in mechanics, maintenance, and repair occupations.
• Moderate to intermediate understanding of electrical and electronic circuits, and establishment of testing methods for electrical, electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical devices and mechanisms is required.
• Valid (active) driver's license is required.
• Must be computer literate.
• Must be able to pass a tower climber certification course.
• Must be able to pass (and maintain) an extensive federal background screening, in order to gain access to this federal property/military base.

Fundamental/Essential Duties

• Applies comprehensive technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions.
• Experience performing such tasks as replacing components and wiring circuits; repairing simple electronic equipment; and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multimeters, Communication Analyzers, RF Analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
• Must be capable of climbing communication towers and working at heights up to 200-feet and successfully pass a tower climbing certification course.
• Any/all (related) duties as assigned.
