Behind every successful contest is a strong internal team. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an organized, people-focused professional to support our recruiting efforts, internal events, and day-to-day HR operations.

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented HR Assistant - Recruiter / Event Planner to join our in-office team. This is a dynamic, multi-functional role ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.

You'll play a key role in helping us attract great talent, support our employees, and plan internal and external events that reflect NERUS's culture and energy.

What You'll Do

Recruiting & Hiring Support

  • Coordinate recruiting logistics including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communication
  • Serve as a friendly, professional point of contact for candidates throughout the hiring process
  • Support onboarding for new hires, including paperwork, scheduling, and first-day coordination
  • Maintain accurate recruiting records and assist with applicant tracking
  • Partner with leadership to support ongoing and future hiring needs

Event Planning & Coordination

  • Plan and execute internal events such as annual events, trainings, celebrations, and retreats
  • Support external events including recruiting events, networking opportunities, and client-facing gatherings
  • Coordinate event logistics including venues, vendors, catering, materials, and schedules
  • Assist with event setup and day-of coordination to ensure smooth execution

HR & Office Support

  • Assist with day-to-day HR operations, including employee records, compliance documentation, and benefits coordination
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and firm culture activities
  • Help maintain internal policies, procedures, and HR documentation
  • Provide general administrative and office support to keep daily operations running efficiently

What You Need to Succeed

  • 1–3 years of experience in recruiting, HR, operations, event planning, or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Personable, professional demeanor with comfort interacting with candidates, employees, and vendors
  • High attention to detail and strong follow-through
  • Comfort using common office tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, scheduling platforms, etc.)
  • Ability to work full-time, in office
