We are looking for a foreman to join our expanding team.

Rock n Dirt Excavating is a family owned company. We are looking for talent to help our rapidly growing business. We are a Non-union company looking to expand with quality people. We offer paid holidays, paid vacations, health insurance, optical/dental insurance and 401K.

Our jobs are in the Tippecanoe county area, so you will be home every night. We work Monday to Saturday, with most weekends off. Duties and Responsibilities

• The applicant must have a minimum of three years prior work-related experience as a foreman,
• Experience in installing water, sewer and storm drain main lines would be a plus.
• Able to read plans and grade sheets and must be able to set manholes and storm drain structures.
• Able to learn and use Leica GPS efficiently.
• Use company software to manage field time and job. Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation.
• Operate heavy equipment if needed in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures.
• Keep job on time and budget.
• Lead and supervise crew to safely and efficiently execute the work assigned. Work with other foremen to coordinate staff for best work environment.
• Demonstrate solid team leadership and assist with their training and development. Be accessible to employees to address questions or concerns.

• Operate heavy equipment if needed in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures.
• Provide recommendations for maintaining and improving environmental performance.
• Ensure company equipment, material, and the work site are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner. Collect and dispose of scrap, excess materials, and refuse.
• Works with and assists the crew in digging ditches and trenches, hoisting material, tools, equipment, and any related work.
• Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation.
• Ability to lift or move 25 pounds frequently, and on occasion up to 100 pounds.
• Must be pleasant to both internal and external customers, while maintaining a professional attitude and demeanor.
• Able to follow a task to completion.
• Frequently required to stand, talk and hear instructions, walk sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must dress appropriately for outdoor work, including boots, long pants, and any other provisions required for spending any duration of time outside in the heat, cold, dry, and or wet conditions.
