Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9 am – 6 pm and weekends and evenings as needed

Position Summary
The Employer Engagement Coordinator (EEC) plays a pivotal role in advancing MMCC's workforce development goals. This position serves as the primary coordinator for the Butler Foundation program and a strategic resource to Job Developers and program leadership. The EEC oversees participant progress, strengthens employer partnerships, supports staff development, and ensures program quality and compliance. The role emphasizes collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and innovative engagement strategies.
This union role does not include authority over hiring or termination decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Program Coordination & Participant Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Butler Foundation program: receive referrals, coordinate intake and assessments with the Special Programs Director, and develop Individualized Service Strategy Plans.
- Track participant progress across all Butler program milestones; serve as liaison during case conferencing to ensure wraparound support from intake through completion.
- Conduct regular follow-ups and maintain timely, accurate documentation in case notes to ensure coordinated service delivery.
- Facilitate curriculum-based work readiness training and support the development of employment portfolios (e.g., resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn accounts).
- Refer participants to the College Bound program, social workers, or additional services for college prep, crisis intervention, or barrier removal.
Team Leadership, Training & Culture
- Train and assess Job Developers to ensure they are equipped to evaluate internship worksites and conduct employer outreach in accordance with program standards.
- Task Supervisor: Conduct weekly one-on-one check-ins and morning huddles (huddles as needed) with Job Developers to provide updates, clarify expectations, and address challenges.
- Provide feedback and recommend professional development opportunities for Job Developers; refer performance issues to Program Directors as needed.
- Support team cohesion by contributing to monthly or quarterly team-building activities.
Employer Engagement & Placement Strategy
- Build and maintain partnerships with local employers, hiring agencies, and internship sites using labor market trends and participant needs.
- Coordinate employer engagement strategies such as monthly "Coffee Connection" events and quarterly employer appreciation sessions.
- Develop and manage a centralized employer database to track job orders, employer contacts, internship sites, and placement outcomes.
- Set and monitor program- and staff-specific weekly/monthly placement goals aligned with contractual benchmarks.
- Lead efforts to expand job and internship opportunities by representing MMCC at job fairs, community events, and employer meetings.
Operational Systems & Communication
- Maintain clear communication with Program Directors and Middle Managers, providing workforce development updates, trends, and emerging challenges.
- Create and manage a shared calendar for employer events, job fairs, and cross-program engagements.
- Standardize and implement job order and referral forms to streamline employer engagement and internal referrals.
- Distribute a weekly "Hot Jobs" bulletin and maintain site-based job boards to promote current opportunities.
- Generate weekly outcome reports summarizing placements, employer activity, identified barriers, and follow-up actions.
Compliance, Quality & Reporting
- Ensure that all workforce programs operate in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, funder requirements, and MMCC Best Practices.
- Support preparation for internal and external audits; help implement quality improvement measures.
- Conduct program evaluations and satisfaction surveys to ensure alignment with agency, community, and funder expectations.
- Monitor and report on participant placement outcomes, including wages, internship progress, and post-secondary/training transitions.
Required Qualifications & Competencies
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) and at least 2 years of relevant experience, or
- Associate degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
Schedule & Availability
- Must be available for occasional evenings and weekends to support program implementation.
