Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Used Car Manager to lead our pre-owned vehicle department. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of the automotive sales industry. This role involves overseeing inventory, developing sales strategies, and ensuring exceptional customer service to maximize profitability and dealership reputation. Multilingual skills and experience with CRM software are highly valued to effectively engage diverse clientele and streamline operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire used car sales process, including inventory control, pricing, and merchandising of pre-owned vehicles.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase revenue through both B2B and retail channels.
  • Lead, motivate, and support the sales team to achieve individual and dealership goals.
  • Cultivate relationships with customers, vendors, and external partners through outbound sales, cold calling, and networking efforts.
  • Oversee the sales pipeline from lead generation to closing deals, utilizing CRM software for tracking and follow-up.
  • Conduct negotiations with customers to maximize profit margins while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to adjust pricing strategies accordingly.
  • Coordinate marketing efforts to promote used vehicle inventory through various channels including digital marketing and public speaking engagements.
  • Ensure compliance with all dealership policies, state regulations, and industry standards related to automobile sales.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, sales activities, and customer interactions using organizational tools.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in automobile sales management or dealership operations with a strong track record in high-end or retail vehicle sales.
  • Demonstrated expertise in outside sales, B2B sales, negotiation, upselling, and cold calling techniques.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and inventory management systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and public speaking abilities.
  • Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are preferred to serve a diverse customer base effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of retail math, inventory control, automotive finance options, and marketing strategies.
  • Previous experience in dealership or automotive retail environments is highly desirable.
