Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Staff Pharmacist to join our healthcare team, providing exceptional pharmaceutical care and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Compounding experience helpful, but not mandatory.

Duties

  • Dispense prescription medications accurately while verifying dosage, interactions, and contraindications using advanced pharmacy software systems.
  • Provide comprehensive patient counseling on medication usage, potential side effects, and adherence strategies to promote optimal health outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams on medical management plans, including pain management and immunizations, ensuring safe and effective therapy.
  • Prepare compounded medications or specialized treatments requiring precise compounding skills.
  • Manage inventory levels efficiently, including medication ordering, stock rotation, and proper storage to maintain medication integrity and comply with safety standards.
  • Assist pharmacy technicians in daily operations, overseeing medication preparation processes.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory guidelines related to pharmacy practice, including HIPAA privacy rules and safety protocols for handling medications and patient information.

Qualifications

  • Valid pharmacist license with current registration in Kansas.
  • Extensive clinical pharmacy experience with a focus on compounding is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pharmacology principles essential for comprehensive patient assessment.
  • Experience with Liberty pharmacy software system is a hugh asset.
  • Skilled in compounding medications is preferred but we will train the right person.
  • Strong understanding of immunizations administration protocols and aseptic techniques for safe medication preparation.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on medication use and collaborate seamlessly with healthcare teams.
  • Ability to manage inventory efficiently while maintaining compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements such as HIPAA. Pay: $125,000.00 per year
