You will work closely with hospital leaders, department managers, and frontline teams to analyze labor performance, interpret operational data, and help translate insights into actionable improvement strategies. This position is well-suited for individuals who have led teams in a healthcare environment and are eager to expand their analytical skillset while developing as trusted advisors. The role offers meaningful exposure to executive-level discussions, hands-on coaching with frontline leaders, and the opportunity to make a measurable impact on both financial and clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Support client engagements focused on labor productivity, staffing efficiency, and workforce optimization across clinical and support service departments.
  • Analyze hospital labor, volume, and productivity data to identify performance trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare client-ready reports, dashboards, and analyses that clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Participate in on-site and virtual meetings with hospital leaders and department managers, serving as a trusted and professional client representative.
  • Assist with frontline manager coaching by helping leaders understand labor metrics, staffing drivers, and operational best practices.
  • Collaborate with senior consultants and practice leaders to support engagement planning, deliverables, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Apply knowledge of hospital operations, workflows, and staffing models to ensure analyses and recommendations are practical and actionable.
  • Support change management efforts by helping leaders adopt new tools, processes, and labor management behaviors.

Qualifications
Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2–5 years of experience working directly within an acute-care hospital environment, in a clinical, clinical operations, or hospital-based support role with firsthand exposure to patient care workflows and hospital operations.
  • Prior experience leading or supervising a team (e.g., charge nurse, unit leader, manager, supervisor, or project lead) strongly preferred.
  • Healthcare certifications or licenses (e.g., RN, allied health license, Lean/Six Sigma, or similar) are preferred but not required.

Skills and Competencies

  • Analytical proficiency with the ability to interpret labor, staffing, volume, and productivity data and translate findings into clear, actionable insights.
  • Strong understanding of hospital operations and clinical workflows, with the ability to connect operational realities to labor performance.
  • Client-facing communication skills, including the ability to engage confidently with frontline leaders, managers, and executive stakeholders.
  • High level of professional judgment, discretion, and attention to detail in preparing client-ready materials.
  • Ability to coach and influence without authority, supporting change adoption and improved management behaviors.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • Curiosity, humility, and a continuous-learning mindset, with a willingness to learn new tools, methodologies, and healthcare best practices.
