About: Johns Service & Sales located in Oglesby, IL has more than 60 years of providing HVAC and Plumbing Services to the LaSalle County and surrounding areas We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Field Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations for a team of approximately 20 residential Plumbing and HVAC Technicians, along with supporting office personnel. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient field execution, high-quality workmanship, customer satisfaction, and coordination between field staff and office operations. The Field Service Supervisor will provide leadership, scheduling oversight, performance management, and technical support while enforcing company standards, safety protocols, and service excellence across all residential service activities.

Type: Full time permanent position

Pay: up to $90K not including bonuses + Excellent Benefits package

Location: Oglesby, IL

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support residential Plumbing and HVAC Technicians to ensure timely, high-quality service delivery
  • Coordinate daily scheduling, dispatch, and workload distribution in collaboration with office personnel
  • Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting support, and field training to technicians as needed
  • Monitor technician performance, productivity, and adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Conduct job site inspections, and quality control checks to ensure workmanship standards are met
  • Enforce safety protocols, licensing requirements, and regulatory compliance
  • Address customer escalations, resolve service issues, and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations of field staff
  • Track KPIs such as job completion rates, callbacks, revenue performance, and customer feedback
  • Communicate operational updates, expectations, and performance goals to technicians and office staff
  • Ensure proper use, care, and accountability of company vehicles, tools, and equipment

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory, lead or foreman experience in residential Plumbing, HVAC, or a related field
  • Strong working knowledge of residential plumbing and HVAC systems, service practices, and diagnostics
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a large team of field technicians
  • Experience coordinating field operations with dispatch and office personnel
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment
  • Strong customer service mindset with the ability to handle escalations professionally
  • Proficiency with service management software, mobile dispatch tools, and basic reporting
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to perform occasional field work, site visits, and ride-alongs as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Journeyman or Master Plumbing License and/or HVAC certification
  • Experience managing KPIs, revenue targets, and operational metrics
  • Background in residential service companies with high call volume
