We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Pottery Studio & Store Manager to lead our creative space and retail operations. This energetic leader will oversee daily studio activities, manage customer interactions, and ensure a seamless shopping experience. Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations of the pottery studio, including overseeing classes, workshops, and open studio sessions to ensure a high-quality experience for all participants.
• Manage retail store functions such as inventory control, merchandising, pricing, and POS (Point of Sale) transactions to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.
• Supervise staff and instructors, providing training & development, scheduling shifts, and supporting team management efforts.
• Handle purchasing, bookkeeping, payroll, and budgeting tasks to maintain financial health of the studio and store.
• Foster excellent customer service by engaging with visitors, answering inquiries via phone or in person, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Implement marketing strategies to promote studio events, classes, and products through social media or local outreach efforts.
• Maintain safety standards within the studio environment while supervising stock levels, inventory management, and store cleanliness.

Requirements

• Proven management experience in retail or arts-related environments with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control, bookkeeping, and scheduling.
• Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for engaging diverse communities.
• Experience with POS systems, retail math, pricing strategies, cash handling, and sales management.
• Demonstrated leadership in team management, training & development, and employee orientation.
• Knowledge of pottery techniques or arts education is preferred but not required; passion for arts is essential.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced setting.
• Familiarity with marketing tools and social media platforms to promote studio activities effectively.
