Weekend Dental Assistant

Dental assistants should be well-organized, work well with a team, and give great attention to detail. Pay is DOE, special consideration given regarding working weekends.

Responsibilities

• Seat patients, take x-rays, assist Dr. Harken in dental procedures
• Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
• Proficient in charting procedures.
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations
• Provide post-operative care instructions to patients
• Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
• Assist the admin team in check-in and check-out process when needed
• Assist the hygiene team in seating, x-rays, perio charting, and delivering fluoride when needed to help the team/schedule stay on time.

Skills

• Proven experience as dental assistant
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of WISHA regulations and guidelines
• Good computer skills
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Attention to detail
• Well-organized and reliable
• High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred
• Washington Dental Assistant registration, Basic Life Support certificate required

Schedule/Office Hours:

Our office is open to patients Friday-Tuesday, 7am-6pm and occasional Wednesday's throughout the year. We are looking for someone to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
