Maintenance Worker III

Job Location: Piqua Central Office - Piqua, OH Position Type: Full Time, Hourly

Education Level High School w/ 4 years' experience Salary:  $25.97 Hourly

Responsibilities:

• Provide maintenance services and oversee day-to-day tasks of direct reports who travel across a 9-county service area.

• Coordinate and support maintenance operations for five owned and fifteen rented properties, primarily functioning as preschool classroom sites.

Ensure timely response to facility needs, repairs, and safety concerns.

Your supervisor will be the Facilities and Transportation Program Manager

Among your duties will be:

• Assigning daily tasks to maintenance workers and overseeing daily operations and job performance in the field.
• Serving as liaison between management and maintenance workers.
• Providing facility maintenance to buildings including painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing and roof repairs.
• Working with system furniture and other office equipment.
• Monitoring HVAC systems; if not certified, make arrangements for repairs; if certified, make repairs
• Maintaining service vehicles and other mechanical equipment as required.
• Entering work orders and completing as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of four years of experience in painting, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, roof repair, and basic HVAC knowledge.  Lead certification a plus.

• Experience using a wide range of hand and power tools.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work collaboratively with staff, vendors, and external partners.

 Special Conditions:  Ability to lift 50 pounds and physical stamina and dexterity.  Available to work a flexible schedule when needed.  Have a valid driver's license and a driving history acceptable to agency insurer.   Experience using hand and electrical tools. Proficient in communication and interpersonal skills.
