About Adult & Family Services Program

The Adult and Family Services (AFS) Therapy Program is ReDiscover's outpatient therapy department, offering clinicians the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families across the community. Our team supports clients of all ages, backgrounds, and needs — including those who may have struggled to access care elsewhere. Working in AFS means being part of a collaborative, mission-driven environment where clinicians can apply their skills in diverse ways, continue growing professionally, and see the lasting impact of their work every day.

What You'll Do

• Maintain and interact with a caseload of clients with diverse characteristics either in-person or over the phone.
• Conduct high quality clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in a timely manner.
• Identify and provide clinical interventions and referrals for clients based on their needs.
• Empower clients to develop and nurture the knowledge, skills, and support systems crucial to promoting optimal functioning in the community.
• Continually assess clients for lack of progress, progress, or emergent needs and address those needs clinically.
• Engage difficult-to-serve clients by investigating all potential resources in order to gain access and make connections.
• Collect and maintain information about clients and document interactions within ReDiscover's designated electronic medical record.
• Communicate and collaborate with an internal multi-disciplinary team to address various aspects of wellness and ensure positive communication regarding the coordination of client care.

Requirements of the Position

• Availability to work a full-time schedule, Monday to Friday - 8:00am to 5:00pm; 40-Hour work week.
• Master's or Doctorate Degree in a social science field (as defined by the Department of Mental Health).
• Active clinical license in the State of Missouri which includes: Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Active provisional licensure in State of Missouri (PLPC, LMSW, or MFT) may be considered. 
• Two (2) years of experience in direct service provision in a mental health setting.
• Working knowledge of mental illness and substance use disorders.
• Excellent customer service skills with a recovery focus.
• Strong  written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as the use of email.
