Medical Assistant

Full time, Dermatology Medical Assistant needed in Colts Neck and Brick, NJ

Responsibilities:

• Rooming patients
• Sterilizing instruments
• Assists Dermatologist during procedure according to prescribed standards. Assists and anticipates the needs of the surgeon
• Scribing for the Dermatologist in the EMR
• Dress and provide wound care instruction and suture removal
• Takes appropriate photographs. Label and organize photographs in EMR system
• Compiles and prepares surgical packs. Runs autoclave.
• Handles specimens for pathology according to prescribed standards
• Cleaning and stocking exam rooms
• Scheduling patient follow-up appointments and procedures
• Experience scheduling patients, performing light medical reception duties or ability to be cross trained
• Prior authorizations
