Duties

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on shop equipment, vehicles, and machinery to prevent breakdowns.
• Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to identify electrical issues accurately and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems by inspecting parts, systems, and components to determine necessary repairs.
• Repair or replace faulty parts, including belts, hoses, electrical wiring, motors, and other mechanical elements.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for accountability and future reference.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and operational procedures to promote a safe working environment.
• Assist with inventory management by ordering parts and supplies needed for ongoing maintenance tasks.

Experience

• Proven experience as a mechanic in an industrial or shop setting with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with electrical diagnostics using tools like ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical circuits effectively.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and repair instructions clearly.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an active approach to diagnosing issues quickly and accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality repairs and maintenance.
