*Position Purpose: *
The Refrigeration/HVAC Technician II installs, repairs, and maintains the College's refrigeration, air conditioning, and chilled water systems; performs routine building maintenance services on HVAC equipment for all College and athletic facilities; and troubleshooting services for off-hour emergency response needs. The position also assists in servicing the ammonia refrigeration system in the Thompson Arena ice rink. The Refrigeration/HVAC Technician II exercises a high level of skill in all aspects of the trade and assumes responsibility for complex assignments.

*Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge And Abilities: *

• High school graduate with some post-secondary technical school training, or the equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in refrigeration and 3 to 5 years' experience in the electrical trade; or the equivalent.
• A Universal license in refrigeration from a recognized organization.
• Ability to qualify as a Dartmouth Approved Driver.
• Working knowledge of and skill and experience in all aspects of industrial, commercial and residential refrigeration and air conditioning systems, which includes knowledge of: low voltage electrical systems and circuitry, the principles and theories of the refrigeration cycle, temperature measurement, the properties of refrigerants, heat
