Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment promptly to maintain a hygienic workspace.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning items under supervision.
• Support the culinary team during busy service periods by bussing tables and clearing dishes in food service settings.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, storage areas, and dining spaces to uphold health and safety standards.
• Help with catering and banquet setups by organizing serving stations and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
• Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation guidelines at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during restaurant or hotel service hours.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or catering environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential.
• Knowledge of basic food handling practices and cleaning procedures.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy items or moving supplies.
• Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with culinary or kitchen experience including food preparation, serving, or banquet work is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are consistently met.
• Previous experience in hospitality or food service roles will be considered an asset.
