Job Description

Essential Duties

The Supply Chain Intern will provide on-going support and value throughout the supply chain process. The intern will focus on analytics and process improvements within the Supply Chain to meet customer service levels and business metrics.

  • Work with internal and external customers to coordinate activities
  • Support additional projects and activities as necessary
  • Ability to manage and maintain the organization of centralized department shared folders
  • Other duties as assigned
Education Level

Majoring in Business with a focus on Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, or related field

Experience

Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with JWF Industries employees and customers.

Must be proficient in MS Excel, Access, or other similar data analysis programs.

Work requires strong Excel skills and the ability to present data in a comprehensive and professional manner.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to have the ability to concentrate and perform responsibilities by maintaining a constant state of focus and mental alertness. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands (including gripping & grasping) and reach with arms, including reaching overhead and outward frequently. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk or hear. The employee will frequently walk. The employee must be able to lift and/ or move up to 20 lbs. Specific vision requirements such as color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus are also required.

Work Environment

While in Production areas, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. There is frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts with occasional exposure to wet and/ or humid conditions and extreme cold or heat, and a risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the production environment is usually loud.
